The Reproductive Freedom Festival, a theatrical recognition and celebration of the fundamental human right to bodily autonomy, was developed by Words of Choice to generate new supportive conversations on reproductive freedom, rights, health and justice.
Short theatrical works, poetry and spoken word selections were selected for a Live Theatrical Reading in NYC and with seven directors and 35 actors were Live Streamed to all 50 states and ten countries via a multi-camera interactive arts streaming.
The plays are now contained in a book format, Short Plays on Reproductive Freedom — recommended for reading, libraries, waiting room displays, performance events. Buy the paperback at Amazon and the ebook at Amazon Kindle! and other sites.
“The breadth of the work is astonishing.” “A very powerful way of communicating the emotional impact of reproductive rights.” “The support and love in these writings could move mountains and break down walls”
The Reproductive Freedom Festival operated with the support of The Puffin Foundation, the Abortion Conversations Projects, the Anne Hale and Arthur Johnson Community Trust, and many individual donors.
